Hike, climb, bike and kayak and eat your way through North Eastern, Italy! The northern regions have a fascinating cultural and culinary history, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomite Mountains and Italian Alps. Because of the regions' proximity to Northern Europe, the linguistic, cultural and architectural traditions reflect a mixture of both Italian and Northern European influences which makes it remarkably distinct from the rest of the country. For both Daniele and I, we enjoy visiting often because it boasts some of our favorite wines and food like smoked ham and wild boar and incredible white truffles; South Tyrol has some of the most gorgeous lakes; and Veneto is the home of Prosecco and the floating city of Venice. This trip highlights the best of the northern regions including: guided tours of Venice, panoramic hiking, cave trekking, biking and kayaking. This trip is ideal during early-mid fall, or the late spring. This trip includes moderate physical activity, but can be tailored to our guests experience levels.
